Award Distribution Allocation
September 13, 2008 Thru September 27, 2009
Excludes Zia Park 2009 Season and Downs At Albuquerque 10/2/09 to 10/27/09

The Association distributes incentive award monies for the racing season ending at the conclusion of the New Mexico State Fair in accordance with laws and regulations enacted by the New Mexico State Legislature and the New Mexico State Racing Commission. Awards are apportioned according to a graduated class of A - D. (see below)

Owners' Awards are distributed annually in November for any New Mexico Bred finishing first, second, or third in any race within New Mexico.

Breeders' Awards are distributed annually in November to the breeder, the owner of the dam at the time of foaling, for first place in any race within New Mexico.

Stallion Owners' Awards are distributed annually to the Stallion Owner for first place in any race within New Mexico.

Award monies to be distributed based upon race class as follows:

Class A Maiden, Trials, Futurities, Derbys, Allowances, Handicaps & Stakes
Class B Claiming races of $10,000 and above
Class C Claiming races below $10,000
Class D Maiden Claiming Races.
