Corona Caliente Filly is Fastest NM State Fair Senorita Futurity Finalist

Felicias Prettylucky, a homebred Corona Caliente filly racing for Mary Ann Lujan, won the first of three New Mexico State Fair Senorita Futurity (RG3) trials at The Downs at Albuquerque on Friday and is the fastest qualifier to the September 21 final.

Trained by Emilio Cadena Jr. and ridden by Adam Martinez, Felicias Prettylucky covered 400 yards in :19.904, and her margin of victory was 1 1/4 lengths from fourth-fastest qualifier Mess Can. The filly’s victory was her first in two starts.

Miss Tessmocker, the second-fastest qualifier, won the second trial by a neck for her first victory in four outs. The homebred daughter of the TR Dasher stallion Hard Hitting is owned by Denny and Carla Feerer of Los Lunas, New Mexico.
