Franklyn Macaron's Agiba Yulla is one of six New Mexico-breds entered in Sunday's 7-furlong, $50,000 E.T. Springer Stakes (R) at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Trained by Eric Mikkelson, Agiba Yulla is coming off of a second-place finish to Our Choice in the 5 1/2-furlong, $50,000 Casey Darnell Pony Express Stakes (R) during the Lineage Day program on August 26. The homebred 5-year-old gelding by the late Devon Lane drew the rail post and will be ridden by Dusty Shepherd on Sunday.

Trainer Henry Dominguez has entered two contenders in the E.T. Springer – Lesters Secret and Brother Louie. A 6-year-old gelding by the late Lesters Boy owned by Solitaire Stable and Simply The Best Thoroughbreds, Lesters Secret followed a runner-up finish to Our Choice in the July 29, $30,000 Sierra Blanca Handicap (R) with a fourth-place run in the Casey Darnell Pony Express. J. Martin Bourdieu will ride Lesters Secret from post 3.

Brother Louie is coming off of a fourth-place finish in the 1 1/16-mile, $50,000 Lineage Stakes (R) on August 26. A one-time $28,000 claimer, the multiple stakes placed 5-year-old Emerald Jig gelding races for Solitaire Stable, Lisa Dominguez, and Carlos Gutierrez.

The E.T. Springer will be run as the ninth race on The Downs at Albuquerque's 10-race program. Estimated post time is 4:34 p.m. (MDT).
