Osman Iturralde’s Hard Not To Sing, a sorrel filly by the TR Dasher stallion Hard Hitting, is the fastest qualifier to the May 15, $50,000-added New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity (RG3) at SunRay Park.

Making her debut at odds of 18-1 in the last of three 350-yard trials on Friday, Hard Not To Sing defeated third-fastest qualifier Genuine High by a neck in :17.730 while aided by an 18-mph tail wind. Daniel Amaya rode the filly for trainer Emilio Cadena Jr.

Hard Not To Sing was bred by Kado Enterprises.

KG Miracle, the second-fastest qualifier and full brother to 2015 New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity winner RG Miracle, won the second heat by a neck in :17.762 with an 18-mph tail wind. The homebred gelded son of Hearts Miracle was ridden by Jose Luis Enriquez for owner Shirley Grisham of Albuquerque and trainer Ken Grisham.
