RSS Feeds Friday, March 8, 2013
Here Kittykittykitty, a 6-year-old gelding by Genuine Strawfly, will be making his first start in more than seven months in Sunday's 350-yard, $85,000 Mesilla Valley Speed Handicap (RG2) for New Mexico-breds at Sunland Park.

Here Kittykittykitty scored a neck victory as the odds-on favorite in last year's Mesilla Valley Speed Handicap. Wes Giles trains the gelding for owner Melvin Neugebauer of Manzanola, Colorado.

All told, Here Kittykittykitty has won six of 19 races and has earned $424,924 while being campaigned exclusively in New Mexico. The gelding's four career stakes victories include the 2011 Jess Burner Memorial Handicap (RG1) at Sunland.

Here Kittykittykitty's nine opponents include Quarter Circle W Bar LLC's Bet On Ballou, an 8-year-old gelding by the Strawfly Special stallion Sum Fun To Bet who is undefeated in two outs during the current Sunland meet; and Paul C. Jones' Erasmus B Dragon, a homebred 4-year-old Stel Corona gelding who has won three consecutive races, including two against allowance company.

The Mesilla Valley Speed Handicap will be the fourth race on Sunland Park's 11-race program. Estimate post time for the stakes is 2:15 p.m. (MDT).
