Dashin Ace, a New Mexico-bred gelding by Dash Ta Fame racing for Derrol Hubbard and Ted Rushing, will break from post 1 in Sunday's 440-yard, $200,000-added Southwest Juvenile Championship (G1) at Zia Park.

Trained by Mike Joiner, Dashin Ace broke his maiden with a victory against state-breds in the 400-yard, $293,550 New Mexico Cup Futurity (G1) at Zia Park on October 28. All told, the gelding has earned $149,029 from six outs.

Three of Dashin Ace's seven opponents – A Dream To Remember, Rockin Disco, and Sassmaster – are graded stakes winners. An Oklahoma-bred daughter of Corona Cartel campaigned by R.D. Hubbard, Johnny Cope, and Henry “Butch” Southway, A Dream To Remember has won both of his races during the current Zia Park meet, including the 400-yard, $299,843 Hobbs America Futurity (G2) on October 7.

Rockin Disco, a sorrel gelding by the Mr Jess Perry stallion Rock Solid Jess, has banked $42,159 from nine races for his owners, Rockin J Running Horses and Jack Manning, and his four victories include the Grade 3, $60,030 John Deere Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge on August 4.

A Texas-bred TR Dasher gelding racing for Macedonio Lozano, Sassmaster has won three of seven races, and his race record includes a neck victory in the April 14, $487,700 Sam Houston Futurity (G2) at Sam Houston Race Park.

The Southwest Juvenile Championship has been run at Zia Park every year since 2006. The stakes' past winners include AQHA champions Brenda Beautiful, Runnning Brook Gal, and Cold Cash 123.

The complete lineup for this year's Southwest Juvenile Championship, in post position order including jockey assignments – Dashin Ace (Jose Montoya), A Dream To Remember (G.R.
