RSS Feeds Saturday, January 21, 2017
R.D. Hubbard’s Sippin will risk her undefeated record in Sunday’s 1-mile, $85,000 Enchantress Stakes (R) for New Mexico-bred 3-year-old fillies.

The 2-5 morning-line favorite in a field of seven, Sippin is a homebred daughter of Swissle Stick trained by Todd Fincher. The filly has earned $268,047 from six outs, and her four stakes victories include the 5 1/2-furlong, $191,000 Rio Grande Senorita Futurity (R) at Ruidoso Downs on September 4, and the 6-furlong, $140,000 New Mexico Cup Lassie Stakes (R) at Zia Park on October 30.

Sippin is a half sister to Mancation, the winner of the 1 1/16-mile, $100,000 New Mexico Breeders’ Derby (R) at Sunland in 2015. The filly drew post 2 and will be ridden by Tracy Hebert.

Trainer Joel Marr will send out Pink Cadillac, a homebred stakes-placed daughter of Diabolical, for owners J. Kirk and Judy Robison of El Paso, Texas. Pink Cadillac ran third, seven lengths behind Sippin, in the New Mexico Cup Lassie Stakes.

Pink Cadillac drew post 4 and will be ridden by Ken Tohill.

The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments and morning-line odds:
Que Pasa (Ry Eikleberry), 8-1
Sippin (Tracy Hebert), 2-5
Fastinating Allie (Ruby Gonzalez), 8-1
Pink Cadillac (Ken Tohill), 6-1
Danas Love (Alejandro Medellin), 30-1
She’s Charlita (Elvin Gonzalez), 15-1
Rolling Star (Justin Shepherd), 12-1
