Vicente Grajeda and Justin Evans were SunRay Park's leading jockey and trainer, respectively, as the track ended its 48-day meet on Tuesday.
Grajeda and Alejandro Medellin each rode the winners of 46 races, but Grajeda won the jockey title as a result of more second-place finishes.
Grajeda's title was his first-ever at SunRay Park.
“All the people on the backstretch who gave me support and encouragement this season, they all really mean a lot to me,” said Grajeda.
Grajeda won SunRay Park's overall and Quarter Horse riding titles, while Jesse Garcia won the meet's Thoroughbred riding title.
Evans saddled the winners of 36 races from 125 starters at SunRay, 15 more than runner-up Henry Dominguez. Wes Giles was the meet's leading Quarter Horse trainer.
Alonso Orozco was SunRay Park's overall leading owner, as he won both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse races. Dominguez was the meet's leading Thoroughbred owner, and Santa Fe Racing by Carrillo's led all Quarter Horse owners.
