Too Flash For You, a First Moonflash gelding racing for Jose Espinosa and Jim and Michelle Laird, broke his maiden with a three-quarter length victory in the second of 10 Zia Futurity (RG1) trials at Ruidoso Downs on Friday.

Prepped by Wes Giles and ridden by Jimmy Brooks, Too Flash For You went 400 yards in 19.356 and set the fastest qualifying time to the $409,000 Zia Futurity final on Sunday, July 28. The gelding, who was bred by Sarah Donaldson of Deming, New Mexico, has earned $38,274 from five races, and he was a finalist in the April 7, $231,438 New Mexican Spring Futurity (RG2) at Sunland Park, and the June 15, $357,030 Mountain Top Futurity (R) at Ruidoso.

Second-fastest qualifier Kaydns Krusader was a prompt even-money favorite in the fourth trial. Ridden by Esgar Ramirez for owner J & M Racing and Farm of Monahans, Texas, and trainer Kristopher Cordova, Kaydns Krusader won by two lengths while scoring his first win in five outs.

Kaydns Krusader has earned $46,943, and his race record includes third-place runs in the Mountain Top Futurity and the April 6, $50,000 New Mexican Spring Fling Stakes (R) at Sunland Park. The Sixes Royal gelding sold for $17,000 at last year's New Mexico-Bred Yearling Sale at Ruidoso Downs.
