You And Eye, a homebred son of Chicks Regard racing for Joseph and Debra Meridyth of Hobbs, New Mexico, is one of 10 state-bred juveniles entered in Saturday’s 400-yard, $20,000 By By JJ Stakes (R) at Ruidoso Downs.

You And Eye broke his maiden with a clear 1 1/4-length victory in the eighth of 10 Zia Futurity (RG1) trials on July 15. The 3-1 morning-line favorite, the gray gelding drew post 10 and will be ridden by Adrian Ramos.

Other contenders include Bob McClure’s Flashy Tres, a homebred son of champion First Moonflash trained by Harvey Baeza. Flashy Tres has earned $14,128 from four races, and the colt was a finalist in the 350-yard, $393,000 Mountain Top Futurity (RG3) at Ruidoso Downs on June 17.
